Edgar

Edgar Zavala is a Council Assistant to the Office of Councilmember Torres, District 3. A graduate of Sonoma State University with a B.A. in Communications in 2022, Edgar was also born and raised in the East Bay Area.

 

With a deep-rooted love for San José, Edgar has cherished the city of San José since he was a child, frequently visiting the Berryessa Flea Market and the annual Christmas in the Park with his family. The city's vibrant culture and plethora of activities hold a special place in his heart, fostering a dedication to the betterment of this community.

 

Passionate about helping people, creating community connections, and solving neighborhood issues, Edgar is committed to making a positive, lasting impact. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, riding his bike, creative writing, and playing with his pets.

 

Edgar is excited to serve the residents of District 3 and looks forward to contributing to the continued growth  of San José.
