Jessyca Montalvo

I was born in Zapopan, Jalisco Mexico and was brought to the USA at the age of 3. I have lived in san Jose since and lived in the Washington Neighborhood.  As a youth I attended the community events offered to the public by the WUYC and Washington elementary school.

Now, I'm a wife and mother of two boys, which I've also involved them into the community events from Washington and Santa Maria Urban ministry.  We attend the GWNA monthly liter lick ups and volunteer packing groceries at Santa Maria Urban Ministry. I have worked for nonprofits such as Center for Employment Training and Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County. I have grown so much being part of those organizations and found my love and passion of being involved in the community. Planning and fundraising within the community for community events and experiencing an amazing turnout is so rewarding. Creating events and safe places for the community to come together and enjoy as a community  brings warmth and security for us community members.

My free time consist of family time, soccer practice, soccer games, and soccer competitions. We love soccer.
